Our Home Care Rates (Private Pay)
- Weekday Care (Monday–Friday) Starting at $40 per hour
- Weekends & Overnights Starting at $42 per hour
Short‑Duration Care Options (2–3 Hour Shifts)
2‑ and 3‑hour shifts are available at $50 per hour
(Example: 2 hours = $100)
Short‑duration care is often a good fit for:
- Morning or evening routines
- Light personal care
- Meal preparation or medication reminders
- Companion care and safety check‑ins
- Family caregiver respite
For individuals with more complex needs—such as memory loss, mobility challenges, or high fall risk—longer shifts are typically recommended to ensure safe, unrushed, and consistent care.
Ongoing Care & Scheduling Philosophy
While we offer flexible options, our care model is built around consistency and meaningful relationships.
Longer, ongoing shifts allow us to:
- Assign caregivers who truly get to know your loved one
- Reduce caregiver turnover and last‑minute scheduling changes
- Provide unhurried, attentive care
- Support consistent routines, especially for those with dementia or chronic conditions
This approach helps ensure care feels calm, dependable, and personalized—not rushed or fragmented.

When you choose Sunland Home Care, your rates include more than just time—they reflect accountability, professionalism, and support.
- W‑2 employed caregivers (never independent contractors)
- Thorough background checks, screening, and ongoing training
- Local ownership and hands‑on care oversight
- Consistent scheduling whenever possible
- Secure, HIPAA‑compliant family communication portal
- Access to schedules, care notes, care plans, and billing
- 24/7 on‑call support from our local team

Veteran & Spouse Support: VA Aid and Attendance Benefit
Veterans, spouses of veterans, and surviving spouses may qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance benefit, which can help pay for in‑home care services.
This benefit is based on military service history, income, and care needs, and approval varies by individual situation.
While Sunland Home Care does not bill the VA, is not paid by the VA, and is not affiliated with the VA, we are happy to refer eligible families to a trusted outside resource that specializes in helping determine eligibility and navigate the application process.
Many families find this support helpful when planning for ongoing care.
When Sunland Home Care May Not Be the Right Fit
We believe in being honest and respectful of your time. Sunland Home Care may not be the best fit if:
- You are seeking one‑time or emergency‑only care
- Care is expected to be purely task‑based without ongoing consistency
- Services must be paid for by ALTCS, Medicare, or major medical insurance
If we’re not the right match, we’re still happy to help point you toward appropriate resources whenever possible.

From the first call to set up service Sunland Home Care has provided nothing but top-notch service. Set up caregivers for my mom as post-hospital care and the service and staff were amazing. Met with the owner Traci, and it seems great service trickles down. They were able to start service at the last minute and were extremely accommodating. Traci was also helpful with referring various other services for my aging parents such as maid service and medication management. While we will continue to use their service going forward, I would not hesitate in the slightest to recommend them to friends and family.
