Traci Beagley is the visionary founder of Sunland Home Care, a company deeply rooted in her family’s long-standing commitment to serving the senior community of the East Valley.

Her journey began with the pioneering efforts of her great-grandfather and grandfather, who established the region’s first 55+ active adult community in 1958. Building on this legacy, Traci’s father, Craig Ahlstrom, expanded the family business, developing over 10,000 homes for seniors. Inspired by her family’s dedication, Traci launched Sunland Home Care to bridge the gap between independent living and personalized in-home care.

Despite facing personal challenges—including a battle with breast cancer and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic—Traci’s resilience and leadership have solidified Sunland’s reputation as a trusted provider of compassionate senior care in Arizona.

Before founding Sunland in 2016, Traci successfully owned and sold a window treatment business, honing her leadership and entrepreneurial skills. At Sunland, she fostered a “culture first” ethos that has earned national recognition, including being named a Great Place to Work and inclusion on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services list.

Her battle with breast cancer in 2018 deepened her empathy for seniors and led her to volunteer extensively with cancer-related causes. Traci is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and actively contributes to dementia care initiatives. During the pandemic, she supported frontline workers and seniors through innovative outreach efforts.

Traci’s commitment to community service extends to board memberships and organizing events in support of seniors and veterans. Under her leadership, Sunland Home Care has received numerous accolades:

  • Recognized as a Great Place to Work for over five consecutive years
  • Named to Fortune’s Best Small Workplaces and Best Workplaces in Aging Services
  • Multiple Best of Home Care awards, including Provider of Choice, Employer of Choice, and Leader in Experience
  • Certified as a Dementia Friendly Business
  • Maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau

Traci has also been individually recognized:

  • One of the 20 Most Influential Healthcare Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2021
  • Featured in Who’s Who in Healthcare in Arizona (2024)
  • Named one of the Top 100 Business Leaders
  • Honored as the 2021 Honorary Bat Girl by Major League Baseball and the Arizona Diamondbacks
  • Featured in Scottsdale Lifestyle Magazine and The Know Book Phoenix

Traci Beagley’s unwavering dedication, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to compassionate care continue to shape the future of senior home care in Arizona.

Because of my experience with breast cancer in 2018, I know what it feels like to have a debilitating diagnosis and be unable to care for yourself. I am determined to help people live independently and with as much control over their lives as possible while staying safely at home. And because of my heritage of serving seniors for over 60 years, I am determined to continue the reputation of a quality product, excellent customer service and being a solid partner in the community.
